Smarter Visual Bracket Builder for Tournament Directors

BowlBoard’s visual bracket builder now makes more bracket assumptions for directors, including standard winner advancement, clearer round creation, and smarter high-vs-low seed placement.

BowlBoard has improved the visual bracket builder to reduce the amount of manual setup required when creating bracket and stepladder match layouts.

When building a standard bracket, directors no longer need to manually connect every winner source from one round to the next. After the opening round is created, the builder can automatically build or refill the next round from the previous round’s winners, using the normal bracket pattern of Match 1 vs Match 2, Match 3 vs Match 4, and so on.

High-vs-low seed generation has also been improved. Instead of pairing seeds in a way that could cause top seeds to meet too early, BowlBoard now places seeds into a more standard bracket layout. For example, an 8-player bracket is generated as 1 vs 8, 4 vs 5, 2 vs 7, and 3 vs 6, helping preserve match-ups like 1 vs 2 for the final when results follow seed.

Custom winner sources are still available for unusual formats, but standard bracket setup should now require fewer manual decisions and fewer corrections.
